Advanced Passive Structures: Impersonal Passive

📝 Impersonal Passive क्या है?

आमतौर पर हम कहते हैं: People say that he is rich. It is said that he is rich. ▶ (लोग कहते हैं कि वह अमीर है।)
लेकिन अधिक औपचारिक (formal) और प्रभावशाली तरीके से कहने के लिए, हम Impersonal Passive का उपयोग करते हैं। इसे बनाने के दो मुख्य तरीके हैं।

🏗️ Structure 1: It + Passive Reporting Verb + That-clause

इस संरचना में हम वाक्य की शुरुआत It से करते हैं। इसके बाद Reporting Verb (जैसे say, think, believe, know) It is believed that... ▶ का passive रूप लगाते हैं।

• Active: Experts believe that the climate is changing. ▶ (विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि जलवायु बदल रही है।)
• Passive: It is believed that the climate is changing. (ऐसा माना जाता है कि जलवायु बदल रही है।)

🏗️ Structure 2: Subject + Passive Reporting Verb + To-infinitive

यह संरचना थोड़ी अधिक उन्नत (advanced) है। He is said to be... ▶ इसमें हम 'That-clause' वाले हिस्से के Subject को मुख्य वाक्य का Subject बना देते हैं।

• Active: People say that John is a good doctor. ▶
• Passive: John is said to be a good doctor. (जॉन को एक अच्छा डॉक्टर कहा जाता है।)

To-infinitive के विभिन्न रूप (Forms of Infinitive)

कार्य के समय (Tense) के आधार पर Infinitive का रूप Forms of infinitive depend on the tense. ▶ बदल जाता है:

• Present/Future (To + V1): He is expected to win the match. ▶ (उससे मैच जीतने की उम्मीद है।)
• Continuous (To be + V-ing): She is thought to be working secretly. ▶ (माना जाता है कि वह छुपकर काम कर It is believed that the climate is changing. ▶ रही है।)
• Perfect (To have + V3) - बीते हुए समय के लिए: The thief is reported to have escaped. ▶ (रिपोर्ट है कि चोर भाग गया है।)

Impersonal Passive का उपयोग करते समय कुछ बातों का ध्यान रखें:

1. यह संरचना रोजमर्रा की सामान्य बातचीत Impersonal passive is mostly used in formal English. ▶ (casual speech) में कम उपयोग होती है। इसका मुख्य उपयोग Formal English में होता है।
2. IELTS या FCE के Writing Task 2 में इस संरचना का उपयोग करने से आपकी भाषा अधिक परिष्कृत (sophisticated) लगती है और आपको बेहतर बैंड स्कोर मिल सकता है।
3. There का उपयोग भी किया जा सकता है: It is expected that there will be a storm. ▶ को There is expected to be a storm. ▶ के रूप में भी लिखा जा सकता है।
