When you are not feeling well, you need the right words to explain the problem. Here are some essential verbs and expressions:

  • Tengo fiebre. (I have a fever.)
  • Tengo tos. (I have a cough.)
  • Tengo un resfriado. (I have a cold.)
  • Tengo náuseas. (I feel nauseous.)
  1. Estar (to be) describes a temporary condition or state.
  • Estoy enfermo/a. (I am sick.)
